Water Damage Restoration Process

#1 Assess the Damage

We will immediately determine what type of water has caused damage so we know how to best attack the emergency. We will use moisture meters and infrared cameras to locate the source, and location of wet surfaces.

#2  Extract and Dry Immediately

The EPA advises that you begin restoration of Water Damage within 24 – 48 hours to prevent mold growth. A-Best uses high-powered water extraction equipment combined with industrial strength Air movers and Dehumidifiers to ensure fast and efficient drying. Timely intervention of our mitigation services will keep contamination to an absolute minimum. We will also remove any excess debris as needed.

#3 Odor Removal

Even clean tap water begins to generate unpleasant odors after standing for a few hours. Using advanced equipment and EPA approved disinfectants, A-Best will neutralize the smallest particles. A penetrating fog reaches into cracks and voids touched by water and moisture leaving them fresh and odor free.

#4 Mold Remediation (if necessary)

If any signs of mold are detected, A-Best begins a 4-step process to eradicate mold growth on surfaces and in the air. First we seal off the contaminated area and establish negative air pressure. Secondly we remove the affected materials, such as moldy drywall and particle board, or employ the dry and sand method for wood studs and framing. Third we provide a Hepa Vac treatment to remove all unseen bacteria and settled spores from furniture, household items, in crawl spaces, and HVAC systems. Lastly, every surface is disinfected with negative ion technology to remove minute airborne particles.

#5 Work with you and your Insurance Company

A-Best works directly for you. Our team of licensed, professional water removal technicians are experienced in negotiating with all major insurance companies to help you get the service you need. We record the damage through diagrams, photos and/or videos  and make a list of all damaged items to assist you in the claims process.  We also keep accurate records of all repair costs, including receipts for all of your expenses.
